Here, Matthiew Kassovitz, the director of La Haine, briefly offers his point of view about Paris, fellow Parisiennes and certain aspects and areas of Paris that he feels are important cinematically. He also explains why cities are important backdrops for directors and that, as a director, this helps to communicate the messages in his films.
